  • General Information: This activity presents statements, and students express their agreement or disagreement and provide reasons for their opinions.

     

  • Aim:

    • To develop students' ability to express and justify opinions.

    • To practice using language for agreement/disagreement.

    • To encourage critical thinking and discussion. 


  • Why Is It Useful:

    • Promotes active participation and engagement.

    • Provides a framework for structured discussions.

    • Helps students develop persuasive language skills.


  • Ways to Use in Lessons:

    • Class Discussions: The teacher leads a class discussion on the statements.

    • Pair/Group Work: Students discuss the statements in smaller groups and report back to the class.

    • Writing Activity: Students write an essay or paragraph explaining their views on one or more statements.

    • Debates: Students debate the statements, taking opposing sides.
