Grammar Revision With Dragons

A1 (Elementary) A2 (Pre-Intermediate) Grammar Kids

This lesson is a fun and engaging A1–A2 grammar revision built around the theme of friendly dragons. Students practise key grammar topics such as am/is/are, there is/there are, some/any, can/can’t, have/has got, Present Simple, and Present Continuous through short stories, matching tasks, error correction, dialogues, and speaking prompts.

The lesson begins with a visual lead-in where students describe dragons and make simple guesses. Learners then read short character texts and complete tasks that help them revise grammar in context. They also practise asking and answering questions, forming sentences from tables, and describing characters using guided prompts.

Interactive activities—such as “Guess My Picture”, dialogues, and listening tasks—encourage communication and help students use the grammar naturally. At the end of the lesson, students follow a structured plan to write a short text about themselves.

These materials can be used as additional practice to make lessons more diverse, creative, and enjoyable for both online and offline teaching.
